During my last trimester with second child I start having swelling in my hands and sometimes I could get numbness and electric like pains. When I went to see my OB/GYN she told that I had developed carpal tunnel syndrome. I wore a brace everyday and after I gave birth my hands still hurt and I was scared that I would carpal tunnel forever.My doctor told me that it just takes time and to be patient she also told me that I can try acupuncture. That's when I decided to come and see Elisa. I'm afraid of needles and was a such a big baby about it, so silly from someone who just gave birth to another human being being scared of a tiny hair-like needle. In the beginning I didn't see any change after 3 acupuncture treatments I noticed that my hands started to feel less swollen and the pain reduced by 50%. I went to acupuncture 2 times a week for over a month. After 6 months my pain was almost gone and I even lost 15lbs.
